I purchased this hood based on the “eliminates jaw pain” claim. I have jaw issues, and I was willing to give it a try for a week in Mexico cave diving. I think the last time I did this trip with a generic hood was when my jaw problems started. I was in the water about 20hrs. Not one time did I finish a dive with locking or soreness in my jaw. This hood is amazing, and I’ll likely order a thicker version for Great Lakes dives.

Wow. So impressed with this hood. It’s incredibly stretchy, so much so that I thought I might need a size down at first because it was so comfortable. I was right between medium and large, and they reommended I size up, which ended up being perfect. I just switched from my 10mm winter hood to this one and was shocked that it felt just as warm as the 10mm did in the 50F water (and into the 40s down deeper). And it looks really cool, to boot. Hood arrived in perfect condition without any creases. Highly recommended.
